The Demografie Netzwerk Saar (Demography Network Saar) (DNS) is a cross-sectoral regional network aimed at companies based in the Saarland, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, and craft enterprises.
Within the framework of the project, a practical support, information, and advisory service is developed and provided to help companies make their human resources and their organisation fit for the future and to remain competitive in the face of demographic change.
The Demography Network Saar offers “help for self-help” by providing know-how to companies to initiate suitable measures independently and to change processes, e.g., by designing a life-phase-oriented personnel policy, by 'diversified' recruitment strategies and new ways of recruiting personnel. Furthermore, we help companies to implement an age-appropriate work design and to develop concepts for promoting the health and working ability of older employees. We also support companies in taking measures to increase employer attractiveness.
The company network in the DNS promotes the inter-company transfer of knowledge and the mutual exchange of experience through networking and offers insights into good practices of companies in the Saarland.
The Demography Network Saar is a component of the state government's skilled labour strategy. The project is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Transport and the European Social Fund and is supported by a steering committee.
The project is carried out by the Institute for Social Research in the Social Economy (iso) in cooperation with saarland.innovation&standort e.V. (saaris).
